Ayodhya: The holy city of Ayodhya is fully prepared for the sea of tourists expected to land here over the next 4 months. Election tourism is expected to be the biggest contributor to Ayodhya’s economy during this financial year as politicians from all parties are expected to reach here to try and boost their vote shares.

Home to one of the most disputed pieces of land in the country; Ayodhya is used to being an issue during every election. However, this year the battle between the political parties is particularly fierce and Ayodhya is expected to become the pivotal issue in the election. There have already been announcements of a museum and a theme park in the city, with both Center and state governments focusing on the city. BJP MP Vinay Katiyar has already asked for the construction of Ram Mandir at the disputed site.

“We expect attention every 2 and a half years when elections approach. We expect a large number of politicians and their supporters to come here and say the same things that we have heard for decades. We have all the hotels, guest houses ready and we are expecting 100% occupancy. The shops are fully stocked, hoping to do brisk business over the next few months, hopefully the election season will go very smoothly”, a businessman from Ayodhya told Faking News.

Meanwhile, all political parties have promised that they will do everything in their power to ensure that the Ayodhya land dispute is never resolved so that the election tourism industry in the city doesn’t suffer.
