Bengaluru. A day after Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar disqualified 14 more rebel Congress-JDS lawmakers under the anti-defection law, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who came to power after a protracted battle, will seek a trust vote today. After the floor test and confidence test are over, some more tests will be planned for the coming weeks so that MLAs are kept busy till the next elections.
The only job of a Karnataka MLA is to fight the election, win it, fight the elections again. They get bored in-between two elections and so it is good that some tests are organized to keep them busy. Anyways the citizens have no expectations from the elected members and it was proved in the last 15 days of drama. The hotel industry is thankful though as the MLAs give them so much business around the year.
There will a yo-yo test conducted by BCCI in the Karnataka assembly. All the fit MLAs will join Congress as BJP wants the unfit MLAs who will sit and make election strategies round the year. If an MLA is fit, he/she will work for the benefit of the people by making a visit to his/her constituency. This is what Amit Shah doesn’t want. SO the yo-yo test is a very important element of the assembly now.
