Prime Minister Manmohan Singh resigns, BJP confused what to do now

24, Aug 2012 By Pagal Patrakar

New Delhi. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, whose resignation was being demanded by the main opposition party BJP for the last 8 years, has finally given in to the most persistent demand ever and resigned from his post.

This has left BJP totally confused on what to do next.

The Prime Minister was happy to leave, sources claim.

“Frankly, we never thought about the Plan B,” a BJP leader told Faking News, “We thought we’d keep demanding his resignation and keep on embarrassing him and his government.”

“Now this has become embarrassing for us!” he added.

An emergency meeting of BJP leaders will take place tomorrow morning to finalize their next course of action in wake of PM’s resignation.

Not only BJP leaders, MPs of other parties are also confused what to do next as most of them had planned for vacations due to Parliament being adjourned every day without any work.

But Congress has clarified that Dr. Manmohan Singh’s resignation has got nothing to do with BJP’s demands and it has been done to streamline some issues.

“This does away the problem of fake Twitter handles of Indian PM as we don’t have a PM at all,” Kapil Sibal came up with the logic, “The PMO’s account on Twitter will remove its Display Picture and Name and fill it with something random, like CAG does in its reports.”

When asked how the government will run without a head of the state, Kapil Sibal smiled and shook his head; he said, “We have a head of the state – the President!”

When Faking News asked if he was referring to the President of Congress or the President of India, Kapil Sibal asked us not to be a smartass and get blocked online.

Sources say that Dr. Manmohan Singh has been asked to continue as the caretaker Prime Minister till someone gets ready for the bigger role.
