Incessant rains may have delayed the ongoing semi final between India and News Zealand, but Akshay Kumar has made the most of the downpour.
The Bollywood actor. through his social media handle, revealed that he shot the much awaited remake of Tip Tip Barsa Paani while it was pouring at the stadium.
The remake of the hit song has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif dancing in the rains to the tune of the original song from Mohra.
Speaking to Faking News a unit member who was part of the shoot said, “The song was to be shot in the rains and we had finalized the location in Mumbai. But when the weather dept predicted that there would be ‘heavy showers’, which in layman term means ‘bright and sunny’. So we were left in a quandary.”
“Thats when Akki(Akshay Kumar) suggested that we shoot the song at OId Trafford, where it was raining non-stop. Coincidentally Katrina too was in the UK and the trip would have given us a chance to watch the World Cup too,” he added.
There were some hiccups with the visa processing as Akshay holds a Canadian passport. However that issue was sorted out later.
Sources say that a few cricketers also expressed their desire to be part of the song. “Kohli wanted to shoot the song with Anushka. Ravi Shastri too was hoping he’d get chance to dance in the rain while sipping his favorite stout beer. But neither of them got permission from BCCI,” said the source.
