Altaf Raja thinking if he too can be back like Falguni Pathak

Mumbai. Inspired to see Falguni Pathak back each year during Navratri on television and in public shows, singer Altaf Raja is thinking if he too could be back on TV and get invited to events. Altaf, who once sold millions of copies of “Tum Toh Thehre Pardesi”, is not much seen or heard these days.

“Maybe I should have also sung some daandiya or Eid songs,” Altaf told Faking News in an exclusive interview, “I don’t know, but clearly there is something I can learn from Falguni.”

Altaf felt bad that even autorickshaw drivers, who otherwise were happily playing Kumar Sanu songs from 1990’s movies, were not playing his songs when he travelled in an auto last week.

“Even the driver didn’t recognize me!” rued the singer, who once shared screen space with Mithun Chakraborty and Jackie Shroff in movie Shapath.

Mausichigaand!” he added angrily.

Altaf also wondered why he was never asked to be part of any season of Bigg Boss or be judge of any singing reality show.

But Altaf Raja has not lost all hope, and is especially happy to see singers like Falguni Pathak and Daler Mehendi, cricketers like Ajit Agarkar, and leaders like Amar Singh, back on TV.

“I can’t be written off yet,” he says confidently, “I am working on a strategy to be back. And this strategy will be better than Baba Sehgal’s, who thinks joining Twitter will help him.”
