Delhi’s Madam Tussauds to be shut temporarily after museum staff besieged by politicians who want their own wax statue

Just a few hours after Madam Tussauds Wax museum was opened in Delhi for the public, the management has issues a notification stating that the museum will be temporarily shut.

The reason for this was cited as ‘technical issue’. Sources however say that that the decision was taken to fend off persistent requests from politicians who wanted their own wax statues at the museum.

Speaking to Faking News one such employee who didn’t wish to be named said, “We had just opened up and there was a steady stream of visitors when a man who claimed to be a politician barged in and said ‘humra bhi ek mom ka putla yaha lagwa do’. When we tried to reason with him, he got angry and stared throwing his weight around.”

Not just politicians, other prominent personalities who boasted of political connections wanted their wax statues. Some were even ready to pay for it.

The management has not decided yet as to what the course of action will be to deal with the issue, but sources say that few ideas were being considered. “There should be an end to this VVIP racism. So we have decided to install Arnab Goswami’s wax statue right at the entrance. Hopefully that should serve as a deterrent,” said one museum official.
