IT employee rejects onsite opportunity saying he has spent too much time in Aadhaar linking and going abroad would waste it

09, Mar 2018 By Santosh Pradhan

The deadline for mandatory linking of Aadhaar to avail various services and welfare schemes run by the government may be further extended beyond March 31, the Centre indicated in the Supreme Court today. Shwetank Srivastava, an IT employee working in Bengaluru has in fact linked all his assets and necessary documents to Aadhar. He took almost 1 year to do it. And that’s the reason he rejected an onsite opportunity for a European country for which he had was waiting since last 10 years.

Shwetank had only one dream like many others in his profession, that of going onsite, saving a lot, coming back to India and buying real estate. But when the day came to realize that dream, he rejected it. The reason obviously was the time he had given to linking all documents to Aadhaar and going abroad would completely waste it. Shwetank’s manager was stunned by his rejection as over the years Shwetank had done everything possible to impress his manager for this opportunity. He had even bought vegetables for his manager’s house, did some household chores and had even helped his manager link all his documents to Aadhaar. But all in vain as some days back Shwetank realized the amount of time he had given to link his documents to Aadhaar. He realized that Aadhaar would be of no use in a foreign country and so it makes sense to live in India for the longest possible time.

More and more news of IT employees rejecting the onsite opportunity has been received by our Faking News team. The only worry for the industry is that after 2-3 years they will struggle to fill up the vacant places abroad.
