Party workers of Tehreek-i-insaaf were seen celebrating at various locations in Pakistan after it was reported that PM Imran Khan managed to tie his shoe laces without any help from China.
Sources say that Imran himself couldn’t believe his eyes after he was done tying the laces and immediately got up to celebrate the achievement. “Itne khush hue Wazir-e-Azam that he danced in the balcony with party workers,” said a senior official of the party.
Local newspapers were all praises for PM Imran given the fact that Pakistan has not done anything significant without China’s help.
Political analysts say that this could usher a new beginning for Pak where it seen as independent and self-reliant state. “What our PM has done today is a slap on the face of those who say that Pakistan is used like a door mat by China,” said a leading political voice in the country.
The incident has done a world of good for Imran’s popularity rating and many now believe that Pak can carry out it’s manned mission to space in 2022 without any help from China.
Army Chief Bajwa however was not too pleased. “We had given him sandals to wear. Where did he get these shoes with laces. Someone needs to clarify or this issue will overtake Kashmir as the unresolved agenda,” he said while speaking to media-persons.
