New Delhi: Finance and Corporate affairs Minister and former lawyer Mr. Arun Jaitley released surprisingly high growth numbers for India’s litigation industry in a press conference yesterday evening.

90% of these are there to file PILs.

Mr. Jaitley told reporters that Litigation Industry has grown by around 33% in just 3 weeks after AIB Roast footage was released on Youtube. This is in stark contrast to a minuscule 1.1% growth in this sector past 3 years before AIB Roast event.

“Number of criminal cases, PILs and legal notices filed against Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and AIB roast organizers are so high that parliament had to pass an urgent resolution to open 7 new district courts, 33 Lok Adalats and 446 Village Courts throughout the country in the coming 6 months. Moreover, these new judicial units will create 5 lakh new jobs for various posts such as District Judges, Magistrates, Public prosecutors, clerks, bailiffs, witness protection officers and court cleaning & catering staff. This event is being seen as a major reviving force for the sector which had almost plateaued in terms of growth in past few years,” a beaming Jaitley said.

When asked if government will encourage such events in future, Jaitley categorically said no. He however, on a light note, added, “Mere Karan Arjun fir ayenge (My Karan Arjun will be back shortly).”
