As Lalu and Tejashwi Yadav find themselves embroiled in IRCTC hotel scam, an unlikely suspect seems to have cropped up on the CBI’s radar. The investigation agency today hinted that along with the father son duo, Trivago guy could also be called for questioning.
Though no official statement was put forth by the agency, sources say that the popular face of Trivago ads would be questioned on the scam where Lalu Yadav is said to have used his influence to award contracts to a private party while in power.
“He (Trivago guy) has been offering lowest rate on hotel rooms online. Even during peak season the rates are very low. We are hoping this is not some kind of a scam. Though we have not established a direct link with Lalu Yadav, further questioning is necessary to extract more information,” said a source from the investigating agency.
Faking News reporter spoke to the Trivago guy who was completely oblivious to the news of CBI questioning. “Main toh sirf logon ko hotel booking mein help karta hu. Mera iss case se koi lena dena nahi hai. I think CBI has made a mistake,” he said while shrugging his shoulders.
