Mallya checking if Indian jails can provide personal brewery along with personal kitchen

17, Jul 2017 By Santosh Pradhan

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Prisons) D. Roopa, on Saturday, submitted a second report on irregularities at Bangalore Central Jail, Parappana Agrahara, just three days after she kicked up a storm with a first report alleging that senior prison officials had accepted money to provide privileges to high profile inmates including AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala. But as soon as the Sasikal bribe news circulated, Vijay Mallya has been checking if Indian jails can offer him personal brewery along with personal kitchen.

Mallya has been on the run with pressure mounting on him to surrender to India and face trial in the failure to return humongous loan amounts. As per news reports Sasikala paid Rs. 2 Crs to have a personal kitchen inside her jail cell. And this news has excited Mallya a lot, as he is anyways spending much more than that in London. Mallya is in fact willing to pay more than that if he gets a personal brewery also.

Hearing about Mallya’s requirement, major jails across India have started inviting tenders to build breweries inside their premises, so as to generate more revenue through bribes. It would be great service to the nation, if one of the jails does set up a world class brewery and help bring Mallya to India to face trial. Mallya through some secret sources has promised that he will definitely return to India if he is promised world class brewery inside his jail cell.

The home ministry has also pitched in with any monetary help in setting up breweries, as Mallya returning to India would be a big achievement for the government’s initiative to curb NPAs.
