PDP demands easy infiltration policy at border, wants at least 1 out of 10 “guests” to be let in safely

Kashmir. In yet another assertive demand PDP has reportedly asked the central government and armed forces to go easy on border patrolling and come up with an easy infiltration policy at the Line of control.

Is it too much of an ask?
Is it too much of an ask?

According to sources they have not recommended a complete removal of armed forces from border as of now, but have asked only for a 10% leeway in infiltration, i.e. one in ten infiltrators should be given a safe passage across LOC and be treated like a guest.

Although no formal request has been submitted as yet in this regard but seven PDP legislators are expected to give a joint statement to media within this week.

PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti however rubbished these claims saying that, “The media in Delhi is overplaying the demands because they don’t understand Kashmir. We just want to have friendly relations with people in and across the valley. “

While PDP is trying to give different colors to its assertive demands, separatists are not mincing any words while commenting on this whole issue.

“What PDP is doing is same as serving a bar of Swiss chocolates to a man, just 2 minutes after telling him that he has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes,” separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani wrote on his blog.

“First they shook hands with BJP now they are trying to level things out by putting such melodramatic demands,” Gilani further added.

Although this demand has yet again heated up the political scenario in both Delhi and J&K, as per sources this is just one of the first bouncers that has been bowled by PDP in a really long political test match.
