Thiruvananthapuram: Motorcycle brand Royal Enfield today filed a defamation case against a youth for fueling his bullet for a measly 20 Rupees only. Mr Sreeraj Kadaikkal a techie who works in an IT company got caught red handed when he was refueling his bullet for 20 Rupees.

Apparently, the act of refueling the bike for such a low amount has hurt the image of the brand and the company has now decided to take the matter to the court. Though, Sreeraj claims innocence has said that it was not a deliberate act, the company seems unwilling to relent.

“What can I do. I don’t know what wrong I have done. Daily I refuel my bike for 20 rupees. But day by it’s mileage is getting reduced. Last few months the mileage reduced remarkably. Actually its me who should file a case against them,” without knowing that the petrol price hiking daily Mr. Sreeraj said in an exasperated tone.

Talking to our Kerala correspondent, Enfield officials said, “Till last month it was not an issue. But this month petrol price is nearing 80 rupees per litre. And this guy only refueling around 250 ml of petrol for 20 rupees. We know he is a software engineer and has thin salary package. He almost spends 40% of his salary for fueling his bike in a month. But it is not our concern. Ache din aayenge to sab kuch teek ho jayegaa,” Enfield official remarked
