Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar had to face a minor embarrassment yesterday when he walked into the Rashtrapati Bhavan thinking it to be Parliament House.
The ex-cricketer was in the capital to deliver his maiden speech in the Rajya Sabha. Though mainstream media tried to downplay the entire incident, Faking News caught up with Sachin and while speaking to our reporter he said, “Yes it’s true. I was on my way from the airport the Parliament. On the way I was telling everyone to wear helmet and got carried away. Didn’t realise that my car was heading towards Rashtrapati Bhavan.”
“Woh kya hai na bahut dino ke baad aya hu. Isliye thoda confuse ho gaya. Ye sab buildings ek jaisa dikhta hai,” he added.
Things didn’t get any better for him later in the day after he couldn’t finish his maiden speech in the Rajya Sabha owing to the ruckus created by opposition members.
Sachin was visibly upset with the entire incident. “Ek toh mai aata nahi. Aur aaya toh yeh log aisa karte hai. I have been preparing for his 100 word speech for almost a month now,” he said while making his displeasure obvious.
However, he is in no mood to let his efforts go waste and plans to deliver his speech at the Virat-Anushka reception in Mumbai to be held in a few days.
