Mumbai. TCS is known for mass recruitment and recently it made headlines by hiring 5000 more during the economic slowdown. The job of these 5000 new joinees would be to count the number of new joinees on a daily basis.
TCS was hiring so aggressively that it had lost count of the number of employees joining daily and thus wanted some people to do just that. The hiring process was tough, as finding candidates who are so free in life was a challenge. We spoke to their HR team and they had this to say “Just today we are hiring 250 employees, we don’t have so many resources to keep track of these hiring and thus have faced problems while salary processing and background checks of the employees. The new 5000 people will help us do just that. We will organize special training for these 5000 people that will last for 15 minutes. We want to do everything to make the employee feel at ease”
Infosys and other competitors have also started doing the same and there will be a good number of benches required to fit these employees. This will, in turn, help the furniture industry that will make Ravi Shankar Prasad and Nirmala Sitharaman also happy.
