Why can't Kejriwal support Congress but oppose Corruption, wonders Mulayam

08, Oct 2012 By Pagal Patrakar

Lucknow. Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, who is supporting the UPA government but opposing its policies, can’t understand the politics of Arvind Kejriwal, the former bureaucrat-turned-activist-turned-politician, who is opposing every political party of India.

Arvind Kejriwal
Mulayam Singh Yadav, however, praised Arvind Kejriwal for opposing electricity bills, but supporting electricity.

“We are against policies of UPA like cutting down subsidy and FDI in retail, but we still support the UPA,” Mulayam explained his politics, “I fail to understand why can’t Kejriwal support Congress but oppose its policies like corruption?”

Mulayam Singh Yadav predicted that Kejriwal would flop in politics as every political party in India was into this oppose-issue-but-support-party business.

“Look at Nitish Kumar in Bihar – he opposes communalism but supports BJP. Or Lalu Yadav – he opposes forward castes but supports Congress, which gets all the 71189 votes in Bihar from Bhumihar-Brahmins,” he pointed out.

“And of course, Sharad Pawar – he split Congress because he was against a foreigner Sonia Gandhi becoming the boss, but now he supports a government being bossed by Sonia and her family,” he added.

Mulayam Singh Yadav said that unless Kejriwal supported Congress, very soon his topi (cap) caption will change to “I am on run from the CBI” from the current “I am common man”, which was earlier “I am Anna”.
