Mumbai: BSNL is renknowed for the amazing 2G service it provides. The company is yet to launch its 3G and 4G services extra, so there are people who still have to find the network signal the way it was common in the early 2000s. Shwetank Srivastava is one such user. Shwetank has been loyal to BSNL since his birth. He is so habituated of the network now that he is not able to use any other operator’s service.

Every day after picking up a call, Shwetank tries to find the location which gives him a clear voice, and in doing so, he covers quite some distance. Last month he covered around 30 kilometers in total to find good coverage.

This month also he is doing pretty well. And all these distances are not covered in and around his home. The places are diverse. Office, market, schools, malls, everywhere he has the problem of finding a good network and so goes with a walk with his phone to find better coverage.

Google which always is upgrading its network was looking for talented people like Shwetank who have captured the coordinates of all the places in the city. And it was not a surprise when Google officially offered Shwetank a job in their new map development team. Shwetank has made their task easier as he is completely aware of all the major surroundings of the city due to his signal catching skills and Google will soon come out with the latest and better version of the city map of Mumbai.
