Lucknow: One of the oldest cities in Uttar Pradesh and home to India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Allahabad has been officially renamed as Prayagraj after chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s Cabinet cleared the proposal. The government announced that ‘Prayagraj’ would now be used to promote the Indian culture on an international scale. The renaming incident raised many eyebrows as well as jokes. Many people gave suggestions about things the govt should rename.
In a bizarre incident, Jagdish Srivastava, a 4th year engineering student renamed his ex-girlfriend to Rakhi Sawant. He did this to feel less sad about his break-up.
He renamed the contact list name as well as all places where he had some memories of his ex. In fact, he told his friends to call his ex as Rakhi Sawant and also personally gave this suggestion to his ex to change her name.
His ex was literally shocked hearing this and told him to never contact her. But Jagdish has been feeling the benefits of the name change and has been seen pretty happy since last few days.
Looking at Jagdish’s story many people across India are doing the same, and renaming their exes names to names which generally people are not fond of. Some examples are Dhinchak Pooja, Kashmira Shah and Athyiya Shetty.
