Bhopal: Soon after assuming office, Kamal Nath had signed the farm loan waiver file, fulfilling the grand old party’s pre-poll promise. Now, with his announcement of offering investment benefits to those who offer 70 per cent jobs to locals, the veteran politician has his eyes set on wooing the youth. The farm loan waiver has not gone too well with the middle class who is already angry with the Modi government at the center for the rising prices of goods.
A Bhopal resident named Sanil Jain has found an innovative solution to get the loan waiver benefit. As you are already aware that every middle-class household in India has a Wagon R. Sanil had also bought a Wagon R few months back and had started paying the EMIs on time, again something a middle-class person always does.
But as he heard about farm loans getting waived, he soon started growing vegetables inside his car. In fact yesterday he sold some vegetable and got his first revenue from the new business model. Now he has applied for the farm loan waiver, or in this case the car loan waiver as the car is his farm and the only source of income nowadays.
Looking at Sanil, many people in Bhopal are doing the same, and it has put the government in confusion whether or not to waive these type of loans.
