Mumbai. Dragonball Z, Pokémon Go, Angry Birds, Temple Run, Candy Crush, and now, PUBG – apart from them being games, what do they have in common? That’s easy – people get obsessed with them, and stay glued to their phones for hours on end. The craze for PUBG has gone on to the next level and it was proved with a weird incident reported in Mumbai. Shwetank Jain, a big fan of the game, reported his friend who won a round of PUBG while having gutkha.

Shwetank, who used to play PUBG for a 16-17 hr stretch in any given day, is not a good loser. He always comes up with reasons and excuses after getting defeated. But this time the reason he came up with is a serious one. WADA is investigating the allegations and trying to find out if gutkha works as a performance-enhancing drug in a sport like PUBG or not. Sometime back we had reported a story where a person had reported his friend for winning in Ludo king after eating gutkha, but that matter was not taken forward by the doping agency.

This time the allegation is pretty serious as PUBG has a huge following and people are looking up to the anti-doping agency to come up with some strict laws to protect sober players. In fact, after knowing that Shwetank’s friend won PUBG after eating gutkha, the sale of gutkha has seen a sharp increase in the last couple of days.
