Mumbai. Actor Priyanka Chopra, Congress candidate from Mumbai North and actor-turned politician Urmila Matondar, BJP lawmaker and actor Paresh Rawal and seasoned actors Rekha and Madhuri Dixit Nene were among the early celeb voters who reached election booths in Mumbai this morning to cast their votes as polling began in all six seats of country’s financial capital.
But South Mumbai saw less turn out as expected. The reasons are many, but Faking News found that people were willing to vote but found out that EVMs are not manufactured by Apple and so decided to not vote.
South Mumbai is known as a region where the richest of this country stay and Apple products are pretty famous there. Almost all houses have apple electronics right from phone to laptop to watch. It was a mistake by EC for not having any branded EVMs in a constituency where people touch only branded electronics.
People did go out and saw for themselves at polling booths if the EVMs were apple manufactured or not but did not find any. This way the news spread in the entire region that EVMs are of a local company and not branded company, thus reducing the overall percentage of voting in the constituency. The exact numbers are not out yet but they would be revealed by EOD.
