An IT company offered its prospective employees a unique compensation package unheard of in the industry after it included ‘Get to see Sunrise and Sunset’ as perk while making the job offer.
QuickLeave Technologies, a Gurgaon based IT Company earned the distinction of the first company to come up with this unique package that has got the entire industry sit up and take notice.
Speaking to Faking News, the HR head of the company said, “We wanted to differentiate ourselves from the rest in the industry. So we thought of offering our employees something that other don’t and something that would motivate them. So from now on our employees will get to see the beautiful ‘sunrise and sunset’ from the rooftop.”
Optimistic about the new plan, he spoke about how previous efforts to compensate for long working hours didn’t really help. “Last year we hired cheerleaders to keep the staff happy. But after a few weeks the cheerleaders went into depression. So we had to junk that. But I am confident that our latest perk is foolproof,” he said with confidence.
The news sent across a wave of joy among thousands of employees in the company. Those serving their notice period are now reconsidering their decision.
With most of its employees reporting higher than average satisfaction levels, QuickLeave managed to find itself a place in the Best Places to Work survey.
Tarun Verma, who has been with the company for the last 5 years, wasn’t surprised that his workplace made it to the list. “I have spent 15 years in the IT industry and I can’t tell you how much this means to us. I was planning to shift jobs but now this is where i want to stay,” he said with a beaming face.
Many like Tarun, for whom ‘once in blue moon’ has changed to ‘once in orange sun’, QuickLeave’s perk is just too irresistible to ignore.
“I had two offers on day one of my campus placement. I chose QuickLeave even though the other company was offering me twice as much in hand pay,” said Vaibhav Aggarwal, as he shared the news of his job offer on Facebook.
With a happy bunch of employees, the company also managed to top the list of Best Places to Work. “Their ‘perk’ is going to be a game changer. I see many other following suit,” said an industry insider.
Meanwhile, competitors of QuickLeave are not taking things lightly. Apparently one such competitor has gone a step ahead and arranged a trip for its employees to Madhya Pradesh.
“Nothing can beat the enchanting sunsets of Tawa Madhai dam in Madhya Pradesh. It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Besides, the backwaters and forests will give the employees much needed tranquility,” said the HR head of Sinfosys technologies.
