Adelaide: Australia’s lower order delayed the inevitable with a spirited batting effort but couldn’t prevent India from taking a 1-0 lead in the series with a 31-run win in the first Test in Adelaide. But if India thought they would blow away the tail, they were mistaken. Ravi Shastri, though, after the match, explained that India knowingly let the match go on for such a long time.
According to Ravi Shastri, there was no consensus on the venue of the party at night so he and the boys in the dressing room needed more time to plan. Jadeja, Umesh, and Shastri are the main party planners for Team India.
Shastri had taken out a complete list of bars in and around Adelaide, but he has already been to most of the places before, so he wanted to choose a new as well as an exciting place to enjoy with the boys. And that’s the reason he and the dressing room guys took a lot of time in deciding.
Shastri informed Kohli on the field through the 12th man that he should take more time in the center to take the Aussie wickets as the place for the party has not been decided and once they decide the place he should try and all-out the Aussie batsmen. Kohli obliged as this was a big day for Indian cricket and there should have been a proper party to celebrate the historic win
