Sydney: Australian cricket team has demanded a change in venue from Sydney to any other place for the ICC World Cup semifinal match to be played between India and Australia tomorrow. Australians have further requested that ICC should not revealing the venue to public till the toss.
The demand was made by the team after the news became public that Indian fans have bought 70% of the tickets available of Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
“The whole reason for organizing the world cup in Australia was that our friends, families, could watch the world cup comfortably unlike the last time in India where they had to hide in washrooms, kit bags, and other places. We could have easily let UAE, Ireland or Bermuda organize it but we outbid them for a reason. But Indians have turned SCG into Wankhade stadium of Mumbai!” Michael Clarke told Faking News as he stood in a 1 mile queue to buy the tickets.
“If the match happens at SCG, I hope my family and relatives get to sit in the stadium in the seats meant to sit and I don’t have to smuggle them like the last world cup in 2011 in India,” he added.
“The whole team should be concentrating on pre-match practice, but here all 11 of us have been hustling with the Indian fans in the queue to buy the tickets for our families and relatives,” he explained why it was necessary to change the venue.
On being asked about the new proposed venue, he said, “It will remain a secret till the time the toss, so that local Aussie fans get to buy some tickets before the Indians rush in from every corner of Australia and the world.”
If reports are to be believed, ICC is seriously considering to change the venue and to come up with 50% reservation of tickets for the Australian fans in the new venue, else Australia could also blame ICC for Indian victory like Bangladesh has been doing ever since their defeat in the Quarter Final match.
According to our illegal immigrant sources in Australia, Virat Kohli was seen flirting with an Australian support staff girl to get her reveal the new venue for the semifinal, while Ravindra Jadeja was seen assuring the players that he can win the match for India anywhere.
“I am 100% sure that my fans will buy all the tickets even if the venue is revealed at the last moment,” Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni told Faking News, “They all love doing something at the last moment, like me.”
