BCCI asks EC to include voting for no 4 batsmen in the lok Sabha elections

08, Apr 2019 By Santosh Pradhan

Mumbai. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce the Indian team for the World Cup on April 15. According to the tournament’s guidelines, every team has to announce its final squad on or before April 23. The teams, however, can make any changes to the final squad of 15 at least seven days prior to the tournament.

With most of the squad selection being a mere formality, the curious case of the no 4 batsmen is still unsolved. Many players were tried, Rayadu, Manish Pandey, Karthik, Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and more but no one performed. Now it would be interesting to see whom MSK Prasad and team picks for the World Cup.

The only way BCCI can now select the no 4 batsman is by doing a public poll and what better than the Lok Sabha elections. BCCI has requested the EC to include a separate EVM where the probable no 4 batsmen would be listed and people will vote for their favorite batsman who would then be picked for the World Cup.

BCCI has amde a list of the no 4 batsman which includes the comeback of Sachin Tendulkar, Ajay Jadeja and the rest of the contemporary players. In total there are 17 players listed out with Suresh raina also making the cut. Now it is in EC’s hands to include this voting in Lok Sabha elections or not.
