Mumbai: A recent Koffee With Karan episode featuring Indian cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya has created a lot of controversy over Hardik Pandya’s remarks during the show. His comments reflecting misogyny and sexism didn’t go down well and he had to apologize on social media for his remarks. However, the apology hasn’t pacified BCCI officials who have issued a show-cause notice to him and instructed him to undergo special training.
As punishment for spending all his time obsessing over sex, as shown on the show, BCCI has asked him to regain his virginity and appointed Salman Khan as his special virginity coach. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had shocked everyone in an episode on the same show a few years earlier where he disclosed, he is still a virgin.
Speaking to the press, a senior BCCI official said, “We were shocked to learn that instead of spending their spare time talking cricket, these single boys are talking about girls all the time and going around looking for “action”. This is unacceptable and we can’t allow this. All our young players have to be virgins and they should not waste their time looking for girls and discussing their “sexual conquests” like some cheapsters. That is why we have decided to send him to Salman bhai, someone who has had hundreds of girlfriends but is still pure and virgin. We are sure that he will be able to inculcate the same discipline in these boys.”
When asked whether BCCI has anything to say about his other remarks as well, he said,” Yeah yeah, other remarks are problematic as well but let’s focus on the main problem right now, that these boys are having sex instead of practice.”
Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri has denied any knowledge of the players misbehaving in bars and clubs. The Indian coach said,” I practically live in bars and I have never seen these boys come there at all, forget misbehaving.”
