Mumbai. Ravichandran Ashwin received a lot of flak after ‘mankading’ Jos Buttler during an IPL 2019 match in Jaipur. The debate on ‘mankad’ raged on social media with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the lawmakers for the game, also weighing in on the controversy. On Monday night, David Warner found a unique way to counter Ashwin’s ‘mankad’ threat during the KXIP vs SRH IPL 2019 match at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Now Facebook has come to the rescue of people who are safe from Ashwin’s mankading habits.

Whenever there’s a natural disaster, your friends and family will want to know that you’re safe. Facebook has tried to make this easier with its Safety Check feature. Here’s how to let everyone you know on Facebook that you’re safe with a couple clicks, instead of messaging everyone individually. facebook wants to give this feature to the non-strikers who are still not out after the completion of Ashwin’s 4 overs. The batsmen will be carrying a mobile phone and as soon as Ashwin’s spell comes to an end they will mark themselves safe so that their family members and well-wishers are not worried for them.

In future Facebook plans to launch this feature for batsman who step down the ground and are not stumped by MS Dhoni behind the wickets.
