Farmers association requests government to first compensate the Delhi Daredevils season ticket holders and then focus on loan waiver

Delhi: The government is not in favor of farm loan waiver as it negatively impacts credit and recovery climate, Parliament was informed sometime back. A pandora’s box seems to have opened up with the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra deciding to go for loans waiver to farmers. But the farmers association has stunned everyone by postponing their protests and has urged the government to first compensate the Delhi Daredevils season ticket holders as they are in bigger tragedy.

Farmers across India are facing severe drought like condition which has impacted their revenues and also had made life tough. But even the farmers understand that Delhi Daredevils fans are in a bigger problem and rescuing them should be a top priority for the government as well as people of India. The farmers association led by local leader Shwetank Srivastava has urged the finance ministry to quickly compensate the Delhi fans and then focus on loan waivers. Shwetank had this to say to Faking News reporter,” We all are in a difficult situation. But priority should be given to Delhi Daredevils fans, I have personally seen them crying and going through hell. Losing 5 out of the first 6 matches is a tragedy which can lead to some big consequences like suicide, mental fatigue, and embarrassment. We urge Shri Arun Jaitley ji to focus his attention towards the Delhi fans.”

It is to be seen whether the Finance ministry takes this request seriously or not but going by the rumors, even the parliamentarians who basically reside in Delhi have great sympathy for the Delhi fans and will try to find out a solution. Meanwhile, Delhi Daredevils owners have also requested the government to formulate a law which would help them recover the income they paid to all the players.
