New Delhi: India lost their first international match on the tour of Australia by 4 runs by Duckworth-Lewis System. In response to Australia’s 158, India scored 169 in the 17 overs but lost the match by 4 runs due to the revised DLS target after rain intervention.
Immediately after the match ended, an irate Home Minister Rajnath Singh Ji said that his ministry will immediately initiate strong action against these 2 individuals who made sure India loses the match despite scoring more runs.
Speaking to Faking News, a senior Home Ministry official said, “This is a clear case of cheating and rules have been bent to convert Indian win into loss. We can’t tolerate this behaviour and whoever these Duckworth and Lewis are, they will face action now. We have already asked foreign ministry to deny them Indian visas forever and will discuss the future course of action against them.”
“Yes, we know these are the rules but who made these rules, Mr. Duckworth and Mr. Lewis so they will face action. If we had gotten a normal target then we would have won despite Krunal Pandya. As things stood, our target was inflated more than the figures we show in government advertisements,” the official said.
This is not the first instance of Home Ministry initiating action against foreign individuals with some reports mentioning Home Ministry initiating action against Jack Dorsey for holding up a placard in a photo during his recent visit to India.
We reached out to Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis for their response to this statement by Indian Home Ministry and both of them said that they do Kadi Ninda of any action against them for this result.
