Mumbai: Desperate to avoid any long-term suspension or permanent ban, alleged batsman KL Rahul has once again reached out to BCCI offering an apology. The Indian opener was seen writing “I won’t sit with Pandya again” 100 times on a blackboard in a conference room in BCCI headquarters.

Earlier, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya were suspended indefinitely pending an investigation into their comments during a Koffee With Karan episode. The investigation is yet to begin but with Supreme Court getting involved, Rahul is fearing a lifetime suspension simply waiting for the enquiry to finish and is desperate to avoid that. As part of his apology, Rahul repeated this line over and over again on the board.

Speaking to a Faking News reporter, Rahul said, “This always worked in school and since we are being punished like school going children, I thought this should work here as well. If you repeat the line 100 times, it convinces others that your apology is sincere. I hope Diana Edulji takes note of this sincere apology and pardons me.”

When asked how he is keeping himself busy these days since he is not allowed to play any Cricket, Rahul said, “ Just thinking about these innovative ideas to ask for forgiveness and writing phone numbers of Hardik Pandya and Karan Johar on the door of every public toilet I can find. This pretty much takes up all my time, I have covered entire Bengaluru’s public toilets and will move to other cities soon.”

When we asked Pandya if he is planning a similar apology, he said, “I don’t really know what works in a school and what doesn’t so I am not familiar with this method.”
