Adelaide: India’s travelling rock stars touched down in Adelaide on Sunday minus leader of the pack Virat Kohli — but it didn’t quell the fervour of loyal fans. India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara says their warm-up match in Sydney gave the team “what we wanted” and dismissed concerns over their bowling.
One man who was under severe pressure to book his place for the final 11 for the first test was KL Rahul. Rahuls has been off the radar for quiet sometime now and he had to do something extraordinary to get his place back. And he did so, by making one more tattoo on his body. It is not hidden that both Kohli and Shastri have a liking for inked body of athletes and Rahul has kind of cemented his place for the first test.
KL Rahul was in deep worry after not getting any runs in the practice game and was sure that he will be dropped to include Rohit Sharma in the playing 11. But then he contacted Hardik Pandya to know that it is not too difficult ti impress the Indian Captain. Hardik advised him to get a tatto on his body, something Rahul has done time and time again to regain his place in the team amid poor scores.
Looking at Rahul, Rohit Sharma was also seen spending time with a tattoo artist in Adelaide and looks like there will be a fierce competition for places in the first Test match.
