Neymar gets injured while watching a tackle on TV, doubtful for today's match

Moscow:Brazil and Belgium face off in the quarterfinal of the FIFA World Cup 2018 on Friday, with the match set to be a blockbuster encounter between two high-quality teams, both of whom have a number of world-class players who can change the course of the game in seconds. For Brazil, the player under the highest scrutiny will be Neymar, who has antagonized many with his diving and theatrics over the course of the tournament. But what transpired today is the peak. Neymar got injured while watching a video footage of a defensive tackle. According to latest reports, he is doubtful to play in today’s match.

Actually, Neymar and his fellow teammates were watching video footage of Belgium defenders operating in their previous matches, to learn how to get past them. But midway through the footage, there was a strong challenge by a Belgium defender which caused Neymar great pain and he fell down hard on the ground. He was soon admitted to the nearest hospital and doctors say that the injury is pretty serious. It will surely be a miracle if Neymar plays today’s match but the doctors are doing everything possible to make him fit in record time.

Belgium defender Vertonghen who was seen tackling in the video footage has been booked by the referee of today’s match and any further tackle on the field today will amount to a red card and send off. Fans across the world are praying for Neymar’s recovery and he has advised to not watch such videos for the next 10 days till the world cup is over.
