Akmal was a very calming presence for any opposition batsmen at the crease. And that is the reason that the PCB wants a peace prize for the keeper.

PCB chairman Ehsan Mani has urged the government of Pakistan headed by Ex-Cricketer Imran Khan that Kamran Akmal should be nominated for the Nobel peace prize and the government should try its best to let the world know about Kamran’s contribution towards world peace.

Batsmen around the world have also come in support of this petition as Kamran’s poor wicket keeping made careers of many batsmen. Mike Hussey who was dropped thrice by Kamran Akmal in a space of 5 overs said that if Kamran was present behind the stumps they had nothing to worry about and could play their strokes freely.

ICC has also recognized this fact and has assured PCB that it will provide the clippings of Kamran’s wicket keeping to the Nobel board to convince them of Kamran’s ability.
