Piyush Chawla demands some portion of the 6.75 Crs in advance to maintain minimum balance in his bank account

Kolkata. Often mocked for the number of old players in their squad, the Chennai Super Kings added another senior player in the form of leg-spinner Piyush Chawla. But Chawla believes that experience plays a key role in T20s and even though his new team has been mocked a lot for the high average age of the squad, their IPL title in 2018 is an example.

But Chawala has also demanded some portion of the 6.75 Crs to be paid upfront so that he can maintain a minimum balance in his bank account.

Chawla’s bank account needs 10k per month as the minimum balance and as he has not been playing for long, he has not been able to keep that balance. But the CSK management has assured him that they will transfer the 10k today itself and help him save the penalty amount that he pays every month.

Piyush was actually preparing for the Bank PO exam when he heard about the auction and he was really surprised. Piyush and his parents were really excited while watching the auction as they thought he will get 50-60L, but to their surprise, he bagged one of the highest paying contracts and his life will certainly change now.
