Now we will print required run rate on T-shirt of non-strikers who play with Dhoni: Shastri

Birmingham. Skipper Virat Kohli was visibly displeased about how the chase petered out and expects the likes of MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav to come up with an explanation about the way they went about their business in the last few overs. Coach Ravi Shastri meanwhile has an innovative plan. If what he says is correct, every non-striker who bats with Dhoni will have the required run rate printed on his T-shirt.

Many argue that Dhoni’s visibility has reduced and he is not able to read the required run-rate written on the big screen.

Shastri told Faking News, ” Every time a new non-striker joins Dhoni on the field, he will have required run rate printed on his t-shirt. This will be a reminder to MS to play hard and look for a win. If the required run rate is less also, it will be printed, as we don’t know what is less and more for him in his head.”

Whether or not the idea will be implemented is a different matter of discussion, but looking at MS’s strike rate in the world cup, this seems to be the only way to bring him back to his best.
