Rishabh Pant bats only 5 minutes in the nets after forgetting that it is not an actual match

Mumbai. Just 24 hours after getting dismissed for a duck, Rishabh Pant got out cheaply yet again in the 2nd T20I against Windies in Lauderhill. The 21-year-old has been backed by skipper Virat Kohli and the management. Pant was caught in two minds as he top-edged a delivery from Oshane Thomas.

Pant has been getting out cheaply off late and this has raised concerns for the management which had shown faith in him to replace MSD.

But the shocking incident happened at the nets after the match. Rishabh betted for only 5 minutes as he forgot that it is just a net session and not an actual match. In the actual matches, Pant bats for only 5-10 minutes and it has kind of become his habit now. Even on the breakfast table with the team, Pant spends only 5 minutes. He is not able to stay at a place for more than 5-10 minutes and he is too eager to get out of the place just like he gets out from the crease.

Pant’s unique ability will be used by the team management in the coming days. He will be given the responsibility of going to the pitch to deliver a message to the already batting batsman and come after 5 minutes, obviously after getting out. This way the batsman playing in the center will get all messages delivered to him from the coaching staff and captain.
