Virat Kohli asks Amit Shah if he can help bring AB de Villiers to the India team

16, May 2018 By Santosh Pradhan

Naresh Agarwal, a veteran Samajwadi Party (SP) leader who serves as a Rajya Sabha MP, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. The announcement was made at a press conference in New Delhi in the presence of Union Railways minister Piyush Goyal. Agarwal said he’s influenced by PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. But media gave all credit for this to Amit Shah, the strategist of the party. Right after becoming the party president, Amit Shah has helped bring in many opposition leaders and strengthened the BJP core.

As soon as the news reached the Indian Captain Virat Kohli, he requested and got a meeting fixed with the BJP President. The meeting went on for 20 minutes yesterday and the rumors are that Kohli asked him whether he can help get AB de Villiers to the Indian team. Virat Kohli is pretty confident that Amit Shah can do anything and can convince people to join any outfit. He has proven talent in negotiability, communication, and political strategy. According to Kohli, the Indian batting order showed many weaknesses in South Africa and it is high time we get players from outside to fill the necessary gaps.

Amit Shah’s response is still awaited in this regard and many believe that he would take Kohli’s interest into consideration as it will benefit the Indian Team. Shah has an experience with the Gujarat Cricket Association too and pretty well knows the importance of good players in the team to win a series abroad. The Indian team has some tough tours ahead and ABD’s addition would be of great benefit in the middle order which looks quiet brittle nowadays. At this point, we can only wait and hope that Amit Shah takes up this challenge.
