Wriddhiman Saha worried about his Test future after Dhoni’s recent form

Kolkata: Indian Wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha, who is currently recovering from an injury, is worried that his Test career may well be over. Already missing part of the England series due to a thumb injury, Saha fears a comeback from MS Dhoni in the Test side that will put him out of the side for good.

Wriddhiman Saha took over wicket-keeping duties from Mahendra Singh Dhoni when the latter retired from Test cricket in December 2014 but his recent knocks suggest he may be preparing for a return to the longest format of the game.

“Obviously I am a big fan of Mahi bhai but the way he is playing these days, I am worried about my own career. After waiting for years, I finally got a chance after his retirement and now he may be returning to take it back. He is still supremely fit and is now in pretty good Test form so you never know”, a worried Saha told Faking News.

Furthermore, he added,” It doesn’t help that he is hitting top test form while I am injured. I thought selectors will recall Parthiv Patel as they have always done when main wicketkeeper has been injured over the past 15 years, and then I will regain my place after recovering from injury. Dinesh Karthik has anyway moved on from wicketkeeping and become a frontline batsman, the other youngsters are not ready for Test cricket. Dhoni bhai is the only one who can take my spot away for good.”

Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri has revealed that Suresh Raina will continue to be a part of the Indian team ahead of KL Rahul till Mr Shastri doesn’t find a better maalish wala than Raina.
