Islamabad: On the morning after Taliban leader Mullah Mansour was reportedly killed in a US strike, Pakistan Prime Minister has defended his country and clarified that Mullah Mansour was not hiding in Pakistan.
US officials had earlier informed that Mullah Mansour was killed in an airstrike on Saturday in a remote area of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, southwest of the town of Ahmad Wal. After this news, there were the usual allegations against Pakistan for sheltering terrorists and PM Nawaz Sharif decided to answer them once and for all.
“Mansour was killed in Pakistan, how can Pakistan be accused of sheltering him? You can look at the map of Pakistan and you can clearly see there is nothing called Pakistan inside it. They have falsely accused us of sheltering terrorists previously too when Osama was found in some place called Pakistan and they are repeating the same thing. This is all due to the India-Israel sympathizers in Washington who want to show Pakistan in bad light”, a fired up Nawaz Sharif said.
Furthermore, he added,”After my strong message to Donald Trump that Pakistan is not a province of USA, there is zero chance of a US strike in our territory anyway so obviously this attack happened in some other country. India is our neighbour, maybe he was killed there but definitely not on our turf. If anyone has any lingering doubt, we can go to the place where Mansour died and you can see for yourself that nobody listens to Pakistani PM there. That will establish the fact that the place is not in Pakistan.”
Meanwhile, several Pakistani politicians have requested USA to avoid killing any terrorists in Pak Occupied Kashmir. “Nawaz Ji may end up saying that Kashmir is not in Pakistan, that will end 75% of our politics”, a senior politician from ruling PML-N said.
