We just want to learn how to fly jets in the dark from him: Pakistan army assures good treatment to Abhinandan

New Delhi: The cool composure and politeness of the blindfolded IAF pilot were all the more astonishing as it came after he had been beaten up by villagers just after his MiG-21 crashed in Pakistan territory. Bruised, battered and bleeding from his face as he gave his name and service code to his Pakistani captors, Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, stood out by his calmness.

But the Pakistan foreign ministry has conveyed the real reason behind the capture and has also assured that they will treat him very well and India should not be worried.

Major General Asif Ghafoor has conveyed that Pakistan is facing a tough time in operating the jets during night time and it would be helpful if Abhinandan can teach them the technique. Abhinandan is one of the best when it comes to flying jets and Pakistan was really impressed by the way India attacked terrorist camps in Balakot. Even if Abhinandan doesn’t teach him the techniques, he will surely be brought back to India soon as the Indian ministry is in constant touch with the Pakistan officials.

Jackie Shroff in the Border movie also faced the issue of flying jets during the night and Pakistanis who had learned the technique back then by watching the movie had no clue how to fly the jets during night time.
