Delhi: On Thursday, The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility of a blast on Diwali night that later turned out to be a sutli bomb. A few days back the apex court of India had banned crackers in the capital citing various health hazards to people due to smoke generated by burning crackers.
Delhi didn’t witness any cracker burst until 8 PM and many journalist declared SC’s judgment a success. Soon after the reporters started talking about effectiveness of crackers ban a blast was observed in Vasant Kunj area of Delhi. Blast was a clear violation of SC’s order, hence, it was reported to police. Before police could investigate, ISIS took the responsibility of the blast and it became news of global terrorism.
President of the Unites States, Donald Trump condemned the blast and prayed for the victims. Many other global leaders too condemned the blast and took pledge to finish the terrorism from its roots.
CM Arvind Kejriwal blamed PM Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh seconds after the blast and asked LG to give Delhi Police under him. Many senior journalists Rajdeep, Barkha, Sagarika etc defended the incident saying ISIS is taking revenge and it’s not totally unjustified.
Entire incident became an embarrassment for many when Delhi Police revealed that it was a sutli bomb bursted by a young boy defying Supreme Court’s order. Police later arrested the young boy but ISIS has yet to take its claim back.
It has become a catch 22 situation for ISIS as taking the claim back will impact their reputation and taking responsibility of sutli bomb blast too will make them lose their credibility. Keep reading Faking news to know what happens next.
