New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received the prestigious Seoul Peace Prize for 2018 for his contribution to international cooperation and fostering global economic growth. At least that is what the people think. But South Korea has clarified the real reason behind the award. The award was presented to him by the Seoul Peace Prize Foundation and the director of the foundation said that the award was given to Modi for his ability to maintain silence on all key issues.

Modi has been accused of keeping mum on many issues of national importance e.g Harassment of cattle traders, violence in some parts of the country, rising unemployment, outrage in Kashmir, reasons or the impact of demonetization, farmer issues, provocative speech by his party members at various rallies and many other issues, trolling of by his party supporters on social media.

A person requires a rare ability to do so on a consistent basis and it was only a matter of time when he would receive such a prestigious award. Though while receiving the award, Modi ji didn’t keep silence and spoke on length about the various initiatives taken by his government.

Opposition leaders have shared clippings of various rallies to show the South Korean foundation that Modi ji is not always silent and speaks very fluently on issues that are not very important. In fact, they have said that if at all a person deserves this award, it has to be Manmohan Singh as he was the real silent man.
